Etwas deprimiert - a little bit depressed

Ich war am Freitag beim Augenarzt und er stellte den "Grauen Star"auf beiden Augen fest. Und ich dachte, ich bräuchte nur eine neue Brille. Wir wollen jetzt erst noch mal drei Monate abwarten, wie es sich entwickelt, aber es werden wohl in absehbarer Zeit zwei Operationen nötig sein.

I visited an eye specialist last Friday and he diagnosed cataract on (in?) both eyes. I thought I would only need new glasses. That mean two operations some time soon. I love to read but noticed that all books' printing had changed from black to grey.
